What you must have:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radio Network Engineer to lead optimization efforts for 4G LTE and 5G NSA networks. Prior experience with Huawei or NSN equipment is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Optimization:
• Perform advanced optimization for 4G LTE networks, with a focus on VoLTE call quality, handover success rates, and user experience.
• Optimize 5G NSA network parameters for seamless interoperability and enhanced performance.
Performance Improvement:
• Analyze and improve network KPIs, including handover success rates, drop rates, and throughput efficiency.
• Implement strategies to enhance overall network capacity and user experience.
• L3 Signaling & Troubleshooting:
• Analyze LTE and NR NSA L3 signaling messages to diagnose and resolve network issues.
• Conduct in-depth debugging using QXDM, Wireshark, and PCAP trace analysis.
• Handover & Drop Rate Optimization:
• Identify and resolve issues impacting handovers and call drops to improve service reliability.
Throughput Enhancement:
• Analyze data flow and optimize network configurations to enhance user data throughput.
Vendor Collaboration:
• Work with vendors, particularly Huawei, to resolve complex technical issues and implement best practices.
Technical Leadership:
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise on emerging technologies and optimization techniques.
• Able to engage effectively with customers & manage interactions seamlessly.
• Requirements:
Experience:
• 10-12 years in telecom with a focus on radio access networks
• 4G LTE: 5+ years of experience, including VoLTE optimization
• 5G NSA: 2+ years of experience
Mandatory Skills:
• Expertise in Handover and Drop Rate optimization strategies
• Throughput improvement techniques
• Hands-on expertise with QXDM and PCAP analysis
• Proficiency in LTE and NR NSA L3 message analysis
• Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience with Huawei network equipment is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of LTE and 5G NSA network architecture and signalling
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Technical leadership and mentoring capabilities
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
