Aircraft Maintenance Intelligence (Lightweight LLM)
50% faster technical issue detection on a private LLM.
The problem
An aircraft maintenance services company needed natural-language access to thousands of aero-engineering manuals, technical documentation, maintenance support docs, and repair procedures. Off-the-shelf LLMs failed on two counts: they hallucinated on safety-critical content, and they couldn't be deployed inside a closed airworthiness-compliant environment.
The system we built
An objective-specific, lightweight LLM trained on the client's own corpus. Deployed on private, secured infrastructure. No public model weights in the pipeline — preserving IP integrity and audit readiness.
What this means commercially
In aviation maintenance, time-to-detection on technical issues sits in the critical path of aircraft availability — and aircraft availability is a direct revenue line. Halving detection time, against a baseline that already had skilled engineers, pays for itself on a single avoided AOG (aircraft-on-ground) incident. The private-deployment posture means this AI is airworthiness-compliant and audit-defensible — a hard constraint that off-the-shelf LLMs cannot meet.
